From solving transit issues to shaping business success—HVBF has grown into Baltimore County North’s premier business association.
The Hunt Valley Business Forum originated from the Greater Hunt Valley Transportation Management Association which was formed in 1990, by developers and retailers, to promote the Hunt Valley Mall, and to discuss transportation problems of growth centers.
The Hunt Valley Business Forum was created in 1996, expanding its focus to include educational roundtables that addressed areas of concern to local businesses including: real estate development and land use, light rail station locations, MTA bus service, and security. Additionally, these roundtables addressed workplace issues such as human resources, commercial lending, facilities management, employee safety, and small business management.
In 2010, the organization further expanded to provide networking opportunities, legislative updates and advocacy, outreach to first responders, and dissemination of information to community associations.
Today, The Hunt Valley Business Forum is known as Baltimore County North’s premier business association.
